At Ross Street Masjid, we offer compassionate and dignified funeral (Janazah) services in accordance with Islamic teachings and UK legal requirements. Comprehensive Janazah Support

Islam places great importance on honouring the deceased and supporting the grieving family. Our Janazah services are designed to ease the burden on families and ensure that everything is handled with dignity and sensitivity.

Ghusl (Ritual Washing) Arrangements

We assist in arranging the Islamic ritual washing (Ghusl) of the deceased in accordance with Sunnah. Facilities and guidance are provided for both male and female deceased, carried out respectfully by trained individuals.

Kafan (Shrouding)

We help organise the Islamic shrouding (Kafan) of the deceased, ensuring it is performed properly and in line with Islamic requirements.

Janazah Prayer (Salat al-Janazah)

The Janazah prayer can be arranged at the Masjid at an appropriate time. We assist families in coordinating the prayer and informing the community so they may attend and participate.

Burial & Cemetery Guidance

While burial arrangements are handled through local councils and cemeteries, we provide guidance and support to help families understand the process and coordinate burial timings in accordance with Islamic practices and UK regulations.

Documentation & Practical Guidance

We offer guidance on required procedures following a death, including:
